Start in Apple Calendar

Before importing, open Apple Calendar and check that the appointment is visible on the intended date. If the event is missing there, fix the account or calendar selection first. A third-party importer cannot recover an account that iOS has not made available.

Use a concrete test: a single appointment with a recognizable title and time. Avoid beginning with a month full of recurring work events, where a wrong date or hidden source is harder to spot.

Choose the source names, then the events

Work, Personal and Family are calendar sources. Choose the names you want, then review their events for the selected date. A holidays subscription can stay out unless it contains something you actually intend to attend.

This is calendar-level selection, not a universal Google event-color filter. Two Google events with different colors can still belong to one calendar. Apple’s multiple-calendar guide explains the source names and colors available in its Calendar app.

Grant reading only when you use import

Reading calendar events requires the relevant iOS permission. Apple distinguishes access that can read events from write-only access; permission to add an event alone is not enough to import it. If access is denied, manual Plan entry remains the straightforward fallback.

Nowhop’s selection limits what it copies into Plan. That selection is not a replacement for the broader system permission prompt. Read Apple’s EventKit access description if the permission wording seems broader than the small selection you make afterward.

Treat the result as a copy

After importing, check the date, start time and location in Plan. The original remains in its source calendar. A later cancellation or time change there is not promised to update the local Plan automatically.

Nowhop does not need meeting guests, private notes or call links for this day-planning flow. Keep those details in the source calendar and use Plan for the selected commitment. The browser demo uses fixtures; it never reads your actual calendars or proves account synchronization.

Questions this guide answers

Why can I see only Cancel or an empty list?

First confirm events exist in Apple Calendar on that date, the intended account is enabled and Nowhop has reading access. Then check selected calendar names. An empty result is not permission to invent events.

Does importing change the original appointment?

No. The current flow creates a local Plan copy. It is not a two-way calendar editor, and changing the copy does not promise to update the original invitation.

Should I import every calendar?

Only if those calendars help you understand the day. Begin with fixed commitments; subscribed holidays and unrelated shared calendars often add noise without improving spontaneous choices.

Are copied appointments uploaded to a Nowhop server?

The selected Plan copies stay in the app’s local records. This does not change the original provider’s handling of your Google or iCloud calendar, and the copy is not proof of an actual visit.
