Begin with the place, then inspect the day

The country view gives context. A city view narrows the question to the recorded exploration there. A dated record lets you distinguish the path from the newly revealed area. This progression is more useful than a country badge that offers no way to inspect what supports it.

The globe and geographic shapes are visual entry points into that record. Zooming should help you reach a country, city and saved paths, rather than implying that the appearance alone verifies a visit.

Separate a city name from a city boundary

A place label can help orient you, but a city percentage requires a geographic area to compare against. Nowhop’s currently verified production boundaries cover Seoul Special City, Tokyo’s 23 special wards and Paris commune. A name returned for a position does not by itself supply a trustworthy polygon or guarantee that every municipality worldwide is supported.

If the boundary is unavailable, personal movement can still be retained while the corresponding geographic summary waits for valid data. Avoid treating an absent percentage as zero exploration. Equally, a visible city name is not proof that its full boundary has been checked.

Keep memories and administrative geography distinct

A metropolitan area may contain several administrative places. The district a friend calls a city can differ from the polygon used for a calculation. Travel near borders and date changes deserves inspection rather than an assumption that every app will produce the same totals.

This is a development feature built from accepted observations and available geography. Apple notes the limitations of location-based information; a decorative atlas should not turn those limitations into certainty. Your Passport is not an immigration record, a proof of attendance or a guarantee of complete historical coverage.

Questions this guide answers

Can I add a country just because I planned to visit?

A scheduled trip is an intention. Nowhop’s exploration Passport should not turn that itinerary into a recorded visit without supporting movement.

Why does a small town not show the same detail as London?

Boundary and map-data coverage can vary. The app must not invent a polygon or a percentage merely to make every place look equally complete.

Can I use Passport to recover trips from years before installation?

Do not assume it reconstructs unrecorded travel. A manually entered travel log is a different product model; Nowhop does not claim a verified migration from another app’s archive.
