Read the street, not an imaginary venue photo
A street scene can answer useful questions: is this on a busy corner, beside a park or inside a larger station area? Those details can help you decide whether the setting suits a quiet break or a quick stop. They cannot tell you whether a table is available or what today’s menu looks like.
Nowhop uses Apple-provided scene information where it can obtain it. It does not scrape Google Maps photos or disguise an unrelated generated café image as a real venue.
Check the name before the gesture
The candidate’s name, category, position and journey estimate establish what you are choosing. A nearby panorama can include several buildings; the most prominent doorway in the image may not be the candidate’s entrance. Keep the text and the map position in the decision.
Swipe to move through candidates or use the equivalent buttons. Choosing a card adds the place to Plan through the same flow. It does not add a visited stamp or write a recorded route.
Separate an inviting image from a useful stop
Suppose a tree-lined street looks appealing, but you have a train later. Check the one-way journey and the next appointment before deciding. The scene gives atmosphere; your circumstances give the practical limit. No visual recommendation should hide the later commitment.
For details that change quickly, such as a private event or a temporary entrance closure, use current venue information. A street panorama is not a live camera, and this development build does not claim to verify every listing in person.
Expect coverage to vary
Apple’s Look Around guide describes panoramic imagery in selected places. A valid search result can therefore have no scene. Nowhop’s map fallback keeps the location usable without pretending photography exists.
The public web preview demonstrates cards with sample content. Native Apple scene requests and your own camera moments are distinct: viewing a place in discovery does not create an original photo in Hop or turn Apple imagery into your personal exported day.
Questions this guide answers
Are Look Around images live?
No live-view promise is made. Use the imagery to recognize the setting, then verify time-sensitive venue information separately. An attractive scene cannot confirm current opening or access.
Will every restaurant have food or interior photos?
No. Look Around is street imagery, not a complete venue-photo catalog. Nowhop does not promise an interior, menu or dish photograph for every place.
Does a swipe count as a visit?
No. Choosing a place changes the plan. Actual movement records and camera moments have their own evidence and do not appear merely because you liked a candidate.
Are all candidate pictures stored permanently?
No. Discovery keeps a bounded current-and-next image working set. These Apple scenes are not personal camera originals and are excluded from originals backups and independently rendered export maps.
Does retrieving a street scene involve an external request?
Yes. Apple needs the relevant place or area for a scene request. Keeping personal journal records local does not mean an online search or imagery request never leaves the device.
